Carlos Orive Somavilla, Madrid (España) 1966. Empieza en el mundo del arte, a través de la fotografía, a la edad de doce años en un taller del colegio donde cursaba estudios primarios.  Académicamente cuenta con la titulación de fotógrafo profesional, especializado en fotografía publicitaria por la academia CEV de Madrid, 1984-1986. También está titulado como experto en fotocomposición y maquetación por ordenador, impresor offset y diseño web. Ha sido durante años varias veces profesor de fotografía en el Centro Cultural “El Torito” de Madrid así como otros colegios e institutos, y de retoque digital por ordenador en CESINE Cantabria para el INEM, Gobierno de Cantabria y Fondo Social Europeo. También en los talleres de la Noche es Joven del Ayuntamiento de Santander. Ha trabajado para instituciones y organismos como la Casa Real de SS.MM. los Reyes de España, gracias a una petición formulada a la Consejería de Política Territorial y Urbanismo de la Comunidad de Madrid donde también trabajó.

Carlos Orive Somavilla was born in Madrid (Spain) in April 66. CARL.O.S., discovers art via photography at the age of 12 in a workshop at school.  He is qualified as professional photographer specialized in advertising photography by the CEV academy of Madrid, 1984 - 1986. He also has a certificate as an expert in photocomposition and computer layout, offset printer and web design. He has been vocational teacher for several years at “El Torito” in Madrid, and at the “Eugenia de Montijo School” in Carabanchel, Madrid and he has also been a teacher of digital edition at Cesine, Cantabria for the National Institute of Employment (Inem), for the Government of Cantabria and for the European Social Fund as well as for several workshops for “La Noche es Joven” ( “The Night is Young”) on various occasions organized by the Santander City Council. He has worked for several institutions and organisms as the Spanish Royal Household following a request made by the Urbanism and Territorial policy Local Ministry of the Community of Madrid where he worked too.
